This is the directed study page for Access to Health Professionals

This moodle page is specifically for learners on the Access to Higher Education Humanities pathway only. It relates to the history units they study.

In the Access Psychology we will be looking at three mental disorders, Depression, Eating Disorders and Schizophrenia. We will be looking at the symptoms of these disorders and the psychological explanations of the the causes of these disorders. Psychological explanations we will consider are the Behavioural approach, the Cognitive approach and the Psychodynamic approach. Each of these approaches has a different explanation as to why someone would develop one of these disorders. We will consider those explanations, we will compare those explanations and crucially we will consider the strengths and weaknesses of each explanation.
